Get found when they search your trade in your town.

Somebody two towns over just searched “roof repair near me.” Three businesses came up with photos, reviews and hours. Local SEO is the work that decides whether you are one of them.

What it costs you

Being on page two is the same as not existing

Almost nobody scrolls. The businesses in the map pack and the first few results take nearly all the calls, and the difference between them and you is usually not the quality of the work.

A site with no structure can’t rank

If every page has the same title, no descriptions, no schema and no mention of the towns you serve, Google has nothing to work with. It isn’t punishing you — it genuinely doesn’t know what you do or where.

You’re invisible outside your own town

You might come up in Montello and be nowhere in Portage, even though you drive there every week. Without pages that actually address those areas, there’s nothing to rank for them.

A neglected Google listing costs you the map

The map pack is driven heavily by your Google Business Profile — categories, hours, services, photos, reviews. An incomplete listing loses to a complete one nearly every time.

How it works

The unglamorous work that actually moves rankings

No tricks, no link schemes, nothing that gets you penalised in eight months. Just the structural work most contractor sites never had done.

1 At build

Structure done right the first time

Unique titles and descriptions on every page, proper heading order, clean URLs, LocalBusiness schema markup, an XML sitemap, and a site fast enough that Google doesn’t hold it against you.

2 At build

Pages for the places you work

A real page for each service and each service area, written for humans but structured so Google can tell that you serve Portage as well as Montello.

3 Ongoing

Your Google listing, filled in properly

Categories, service list, hours, service area, photos and posts. Then reviews keep arriving through the review funnel, which is the other half of local ranking.

Set up once, then it runs on its own. See it on your phone

What you get

What’s included

Technical SEO from day one

Fast load times, mobile-first, crawlable, indexable, no broken links, HTTPS. The basics that a lot of contractor sites quietly fail.

Titles and descriptions on everything

Each page written to match what a real person would type. Not keyword stuffing — sentences that make sense and happen to contain the words.

Schema markup

Structured data that tells Google you are a local business, what you do, where you work, your hours and your phone number. It’s invisible to visitors and it matters.

Service-area pages

Individual pages for the towns you actually serve, with content that’s genuinely about that area rather than the same paragraph with the name swapped.

Google Business Profile work

Setup and optimization of the listing that feeds the map pack. Ongoing optimization is part of Contractor Pro; the initial setup is a one-time $99 if you don’t have one yet.

Monthly reporting on Pro

On Contractor Pro you get a monthly report and a call, in plain English, about what moved and what we’re changing next.

Why it matters

SEO is slow, and we’re going to say so up front

Every other part of this system starts working the day we turn it on. Missed-call text-back fires on the first missed call. Booking works the first time someone visits. SEO does not work like that, and any agency that tells you otherwise is selling something.

What you should expect is movement over months, not days. The structural work happens at build and starts helping immediately in the sense that the site is now capable of ranking. Actually climbing takes time, consistent reviews, and Google slowly deciding you’re a real business in a real place.

The reason it’s worth it anyway: a lead from organic search costs you nothing per click and doesn’t stop when you stop paying. Ads switch off the day you cancel. Ranking is an asset that keeps producing, which is why it’s included on every plan rather than sold as a premium add-on.

If you need calls next week, ads are the honest answer and that’s Contractor Pro. SEO is what makes you less dependent on them a year from now. Most contractors should be doing both, in that order.

Straight answers

Questions people ask about this one

How long before I see results?

Structural improvements can show up within weeks; competitive local rankings usually take several months of consistent work and reviews. Anyone promising page one in thirty days is either lying or targeting search terms nobody uses.

Can you guarantee I’ll rank number one?

No, and nobody legitimately can. Google’s results depend on competitors, your review profile, your location and factors nobody outside Google controls. We can guarantee the work gets done properly.

Is this included or extra?

The on-site work is included on both plans. Advanced SEO and ongoing Google Business Profile optimization come with Contractor Pro. Initial Google listing setup is a one-time $99 if you don’t have a listing yet.

What about all those SEO companies that email me?

The ones sending unsolicited emails about your rankings are almost always selling automated link building, which ranges from useless to actively harmful. If it sounds cheap and fast, it’s the kind that gets sites penalised.

Do I need to blog constantly?

No. For most local contractors, service pages, service-area pages and a steady flow of reviews matter far more than publishing articles. We’d rather you spend that energy on jobs.

Not sure this is your bottleneck?
