Let them book the estimate while you’re still on the job.

Phone tag kills more estimates than price does. Put your real availability on your website and let the customer pick a slot at eleven at night if that’s when they’re thinking about it.

Pick an open slot

What it costs you

Every extra step loses you people

The gap between “I should call that guy” and actually having an appointment is where most interested homeowners quietly give up.

Phone tag has a body count

You call, they’re at work. They call back, you’re on a roof. Two rounds of that and somebody stops trying — usually the customer, because they had a second option.

People decide outside business hours

A lot of homeowners think about their leaky basement at nine at night. If the only way to act on that is to call you tomorrow, tomorrow is when they’ll have second thoughts.

No-shows waste a whole slot

You blocked out the afternoon and drove twenty minutes. Nobody’s home. A confirmation and a reminder text fixes most of these, and almost nobody sends them.

How it works

Your calendar, with the parts you want to show

You control which hours are bookable and how much notice you need. Customers only ever see slots you’ve actually made available.

1 Set once

You define the rules

Which days, which hours, how long an estimate takes, how much buffer you need between them, and how far ahead someone can book. Set it once and forget it.

2 Any time

They pick a slot

From your website, from a text, from your Google listing. They see real availability and choose. It goes straight onto your calendar.

3 Automatic

Confirmation and reminders

They get an immediate confirmation and a reminder before the appointment. You get it on your phone calendar like any other job.

Set up once, then it runs on its own. See it on your phone

What you get

What’s in it

Syncs with the calendar you already use

Google Calendar, Apple, Outlook. If you block time for your kid’s game, nobody can book over it — availability updates both ways.

Reminder texts that cut no-shows

A confirmation right away and a reminder the day before. This alone recovers more time than most people expect.

Buffers and travel time

You can require thirty minutes between appointments so nobody books you in two towns back to back.

Ask the right questions up front

A couple of short questions at booking — address, job type, is it urgent — so you show up already knowing what you’re walking into.

Booking links anywhere

Drop the link into a text, an email, your Google listing or a Facebook post. Same calendar behind all of them.

You can still say no

Nothing is locked in. If a booking doesn’t work, you reschedule it and the customer gets notified automatically.

Why it matters

The easier it is to book you, the more people book you

This is one of the least glamorous parts of the system and one of the most reliable. It doesn’t bring you new leads. It stops you losing the ones you already have to friction.

Think about the last time you tried to book anything — a dentist, a haircut, an oil change. If it took a phone call during business hours, you probably put it off. If there was a page with open times, you did it in forty seconds. Your customers are the same, and they are increasingly used to businesses that let them self-serve.

For a contractor there’s a second benefit that matters more than the convenience: an appointment on a calendar is a commitment. Someone who picked a slot and got a confirmation text is far more likely to still be there when you show up than someone who said “yeah, call me next week.”

It also gets your evenings back. Returning calls after dinner to arrange times is unpaid work, and this removes most of it.

Straight answers

Questions people ask about this one

I don’t want strangers booking my whole week.

You decide exactly what’s bookable — maybe only Tuesday and Thursday afternoons for estimates, with two days notice. Everything else stays invisible. Most contractors open up far less than they expect to.

What if I need to move an appointment?

Change it on your calendar and the customer is notified automatically with the new time. No awkward phone call needed unless you want to make one.

Does this work for emergency calls?

Emergencies should still call you — that’s what missed-call text-back is for. Booking is for estimates and scheduled work, where there’s time to pick a slot.

Can I collect a deposit at booking?

Yes, if you want to. Some trades find it filters out tire-kickers; others find it costs them bookings. We’ll talk through which you are.

What if someone books and doesn’t show?

Confirmations and reminders reduce it substantially but nothing eliminates it. You can also require a phone number and have the system text them the morning of.

Not sure this is your bottleneck?

Book a call and we’ll look at where work is actually leaking before recommending anything.
